Mika Pylkkönen

I work as part of the ARCLE Professionals network as a project architect and BIM coordinator.

I have been involved in the architectural design of demanding care facilities and daycare projects since 2017. Previously, I worked as a carpenter on various new-build and renovation projects. This hands-on experience from construction sites provides a strong foundation for my design work and helps me understand how design solutions function in the implementation phase as well.

Good design starts with listening to the client’s wishes and needs. It is a pleasure to be part of ARCLE’s strong team, designing sustainable, cost-effective, and visually striking buildings for satisfied clients.

I am particularly interested in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and the opportunities that IFC will bring in the future to collaboration between different design disciplines. I aim to contribute to making design processes more efficient and higher in quality by leveraging digitalization, artificial intelligence, and new tools.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature and cycling, which provides a good counterbalance to demanding design work.
